Forever Burrowers

The perfect scenario is for newcomers to integrate into the existing sanctuary herds and stay forever. We only shelter small “furry vegans” that have nobody else. By the time they make it to Burrow Detroit, they have most likely experienced extreme neglect and/ or abuse. Since they have gone through so much already, we strive to make the rest of their life as peace- and joyful as possible.

Rabbits: Nemo, Hazel, Sam, Frito, Fancy
Guinea Pigs: Gwen, Alyssa, Vera, Daisy, Toto, Frank, Winston, Gizmo

Burrow Detroit started out as a foster for existing small animal rescues: Hay Monsters, Romeo Rabbit Rescue, and FurgetUsNot.

One of our core values is to continue to support our rescue partners by taking in animals that are waiting to get adopted.
